Since its inauguration ten years ago, SIE Fund has been striving to promote social innovation and cultivate social entrepreneurship and provided funding for innovative projects at different stages of development to create impacts in alleviating poverty and social exclusion. Dr Lee talked about the changes in the social innovation ecosystem in the past ten years and elaborated on the future development of the SIE Fund.

Second Episode: [Realising Targeted Poverty Alleviation] Focus on socially innovative approaches to provide services and products
Content:

Projects under the SIE Fund provide innovative services or products to suitably address the different needs of different beneficiary groups. This episode introduces two projects. One of them organises experiential events using soft meals to provide cognitive stimulation for elderly dementia patients. The other trains and employs the elderly as silver models to promote active ageing.

Third Episode: [Realising Targeted Poverty Alleviation] Facilitate cross-sector collaboration to create bigger impacts
Content:

SIE Fund engages different stakeholders to facilitate cross-sector collaboration, aiming to create bigger social impacts. This episode introduces how the efficiency of food support services is enhanced through an online platform that connects food donors, service operators and volunteers; and how to facilitate the monitoring of symptoms and timely intervention for dementia through a game platform.

Fourth Episode: [Realising Targeted Poverty Alleviation] Apply technology to create bigger social value
Content:

SIE Fund strives to promote the application of technology to address social needs including rehabilitation and healthcare. This episode introduces the use of robotic devices to facilitate home-based rehabilitation training for stroke patients, and evidence-based robot-aided intervention specifically designed for autistic children.
